Browlift Improving patient results and care

Over time, the skin loses its elasticity, and with repeated muscle contraction, and usually sun damage, the forehead and brow begin to droop and wrinkles can form. The overall result is a facial expression that appears fatigued, overwhelmed, and aged. Dr. Olivier A. Deigni may recommend a brow lift to help reposition the brow and restore a more awake and youthful facial expression.

What does a brow lift address? A brow lift addresses the following areas:

  • Elevation of droopy eyebrows
  • Smoothening of forehead wrinkles
  • Restoration of more youthful facial appearance

Description: Dr. Olivier A. Deigni uses an endoscopic technique to lift the brow through small incisions made within the hairline. By using a small video camera, Dr. Olivier A. Deigni can visualize the underlying forehead structures, thereby eliminating the traditional coronal incision and limiting the scarring and risk of alopecia. The brow and the forehead are lifted to provide a more open upper facial expression with smoother contours.

Surgery: The procedure takes 1 – 2 hours and is performed under general anesthesia.

Recovery: There may be swelling and bruising for several days after the procedure and patients are typically able to return to work within 7 – 10 days. Sutures are removed in 7 – 10 days and you may resume exercise in 4 weeks. You may have some reduced sensation in your scalp that returns to normal in a few weeks as the nerves awaken. If you live within 30 miles of our facility, Dr. Olivier A. Deigni will offer a visit to your home by one of our plastic surgery nurses that will assist you with your recovery. The nurse will change your dressings, help you with your medication, monitor your recovery, and update Dr. Olivier A. Deigni about your condition.

Plan your procedure:

  • Average cost: $3,000 – $5,000
  • Recovery time: 1 – 2 weeks
  • Average procedure time: 1 – 2 hours
  • Recovery location: In-patient overnight stay
